The Gabelli School celebrated 100 years of business education at Fordham University with a student kickoff at both Lincoln Center and Rose Hill campuses, on December 5th.
At Lincoln Center, students joined in on the festivities by partaking in sandwiches, branded cookies, and customized centennial t-shirts.
Dean Donna Rapaccioli introduced a short film documenting the school’s history. She emphasized what Gabelli business school students have accomplished since its founding in 1920 and closed by calling current students, who hail from 61 different countries and speak over 53 languages, the “brightest yet.”
She concluded by thanking students, recognizing the past 100 years, and looking forward to “the next 100.” One undergraduate student noted that, “the t-shirts embody the Gabelli culture because they are warm.”
At Rose Hill, the centennial celebration was held in conjunction with the annual student holiday party in the Hughes Hall lobby. Similar to the festivities at Lincoln Center, students were treated to lunch from Arthur Avenue, cookies, centennial-branded t-shirts, and the opportunity to watch the short film on the school’s history.
The kickoff was memorable at both campuses for Gabelli School students, setting the tone for the holiday season and the forthcoming centennial celebrations next year.
