What do Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, and NASCAR have in common? They’re all sports you can play in a fantasy league on DraftKings. Add soccer, basketball, football, and MMA to that list. Plus golf. And the League of Legends video game.
So how did DraftKings become a leading Daily Fantasy Sports company? Who are the people responsible for the everyday operations? What’s the future of the industry?
On Wednesday, February 8, join Mark Nerenberg, vice president of game operations and development for DraftKings and co-founder of DraftStreet, to find out. In a discussion moderated by Associate Professor Mark Conrad, Nerenberg will share his story with students, explaining his own entrepreneurial journey.
Part of the Gabelli School Speaker Series, this first lecture of the spring semester will give students an inside look at the fantasy sports industry and inspire them to explore career possibilities of their own. Register here.
Future events will feature speakers from such diverse fields as health and wellness, media, and fashion.
