Hughes RankingsThe Gabelli School moved up two places to No. 38 in the 2014 Bloomberg Businessweek ranking of U.S. undergraduate business schools, continuing a three-year rise.

Academics continued to be a hallmark of the school’s performance in the rankings: Fordham tied with several other schools to share the No. 24 spot nationwide in academic quality, and classroom teaching retained the “A” grade that it has held for several years.

Fordham also placed No. 20 in median starting salary for graduates, at $57,537.

Dean Donna Rapaccioli thanked the Gabelli School’s students, alumni, faculty and administration for their continued pursuit of excellence, which draws national attention to the school.

“Though rankings can be a complicated equation, there is no doubt that the Gabelli School of Business offers a high-quality education,” she said. “This is an academic community that is dedicated to achieving highly, and doing so in a way that has a positive impact on the world.”

The Businessweek subject-area rankings have not yet been released, but are typically posted to its web site within a few weeks of the publication of the full undergraduate ranking.
