MBA students take it all at ACG Cup competition

Announcements | Apr 21, 2017 |

The challenge: prepare a presentation for mergers-and-acquisitions professionals on valuation, capital markets, and strategic device.

The competitors: Fordham University, Baruch College, Hofstra University, NYU, Pace University, and St. John’s University.

The result: three Gabelli School MBA students took home the 2017 ACG Cup. The winners were Elizabeth Rice, Michael Falatyn, and Adam Weinzimer, all MBA ’17.

The contest, sponsored by the New York affiliate of the Association for Corporate Growth, lets students tackle real-world challenges in M&A, investment banking, financial advisory, and private equity.

Competing over several weeks, students are required to repeatedly demonstrate their knowledge and stay sharp throughout the extended process. The Fordham team members proved they could do just that.

Challenge complete.
