Announcements | Apr 18, 2017 |

Spring is in full swing, and with it comes baseball. But for those who keep track of every pitch, hit, and run, Major League Baseball is more than just a game.

Find out about the history and future of sabermetrics—the statistical analysis of baseball—at this month’s Gabelli School Speaker Series talk.

Moderated by Travis Petersen, MSBA ’15, this conversation between Jay Jaffe, Sports Illustrated writer, author of upcoming book The Cooperstown Casebook, and the inventor of the JAWS Statistic, and Mike Petriello, stat analyst for Major League Baseball’s MLB.com, will explain how baseball stats have an impact on player evaluation, team success, and even the Hall of Fame.

Event details:
Date: Thursday, April 20
Time: 4:00 p.m.
