Welcomed by three notable alumni — renowned value investor Mario Gabelli ’65, Google executive Bill Sickles ’84 and Dean Donna Rapaccioli ’83 — more than 460 freshmen took their places as members of the Class of 2015 on Tuesday at the Gabelli School of Business’s academic orientation.
Packed into Keating First auditorium, the new students heard sage advice from Dean Rapaccioli (“study”), Mr. Gabelli (“study”) and upperclassmen (“study”). After the auditorium program ended, despite what must have been an irrepressible desire to run off somewhere and study, the freshmen proceeded to the Keating steps and toasted the start of their college careers with root beer floats.

On behalf of Freshman Class Dean Greer Jason and the rest of the Gabelli administration, best of luck to the freshmen as they start what is sure to be a spectacular four years!
