Gabelli School Class of 2021 Celebrations Begin at Rose Hill

The Gabelli School’s undergraduate Class of 2021 was celebrated in style this week with two in-person graduation events held at the Rose Hill campus.
The May 18 and May 19 events, held outdoors on the terrace of Keating Hall, offered Lincoln Center and Rose Hill graduates the chance to gather, hear from administrators including Dean Donna Rapaccioli, Joseph M. McShane, president of Fordham University, as well as student speakers. At each of the events, students received ceremonial scrolls from Donna Rapaccioli, dean of the Gabelli School of Business.
Alexandra Aloe, co-valedictorian, Samantha Barrett, and Zack Hajjar, all of the Class of 2021, addressed their fellow classmates, highlighting their student experiences and the Fordham spirit that helped them endure the unprecedented challenges they faced.
“While there are many things to love about Fordham, our community is truly what defines the university,” Aloe said. “While thriving off the fast pace of the city, we still pause to help one another. Fordham turns the global epicenter into a tight-knit community and disproves the rat race. As a result, we have happily navigated New York City together these past four years, and have taken each new challenge in stride.”
In her remarks, Dean Rapaccioli praised the graduates’ resilience and urged them to use their experiences to continually improve throughout their future.
“You have emerged stronger and wiser,” she said. “I am so proud of each and every one of you for hanging in there, for literally redefining the nature of college, and, most of all, for earning the Gabelli School of Business diploma that you so rightly deserve.”

Saturday, May 22: Fordham University’s 2021 Commencement Ceremony, which will premiere live at this link at 10 a.m.
Saturday May 22: The Gabelli School’s undergraduate Class of 2021 virtual graduation event, which will premiere live at this link at 11 a.m.
Tuesday, May 25: The Gabelli School’s Class of 2021 virtual graduate event for MS, MBA, DPS, and PHD candidates, which will premiere live at this link at 9 a.m.
Tuesday, May 25: The Gabelli School’s in-person graduation event for MS, MBA, DPS, and PHD candidates, taking place at 4 p.m. at Rose Hill for students who have registered to attend. This event will also be livestreamed at this link.
