Students: Want event-planning experience for your résumé?

Looking for another way to stand out in the eyes of future employers?
How about being able to say that you helped to organize a major conference-style event for the university and the admission-paying general public?
We are looking for Gabelli students — from freshmen to seniors, male and female — to help plan and execute the Gabelli School of Business Women in Leadership event, which will take place on campus in April. Participating will give you valuable experience for your résumé. For example, you might assist with:
- Choosing and securing speakers
- Arranging appropriate venues
- Event promotion and marketing
- On-site event management
This year’s Women in Leadership event promises to be very exciting: the keynote speaker will be Barbara Corcoran of ABC’s Shark Tank, who also founded the Corcoran Group, the largest residential real-estate firm in New York City.
If you would like to join the planning committee and assist the members of Smart Woman Securities’ Fordham chapter in putting together this two-day conference, please respond by December 23 by e-mailing Angela Giovine, the Gabelli event planner, at agiovine@limeevents.net.
