March 27: Supper Club with a cosmetics marketing alumna

Will you be in New York over Easter break?

Or maybe you’re not leaving the city until Thursday? 

If so — and if you’re interested in marketing within the cosmetics and fragrance industry — apply for this Supper Club. It’s a chance to make a personal connection with Stephanie Barker (GSB ’04), an Estée Lauder Companies executive who has worked with the Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and Jo Malone fragrance brands.

She’s coming in from her home base in California to make this possible!

Stephanie Brooke Barker (GSB ’04) is the West Coast education executive for Jo Malone London, a luxury fragrance brand in the Estée Lauder Companies’ portfolio of elite high-touch brands. She trains 55 sales teams in 10 states, designing workshops and seminars on leadership, business-building and sales. Her areas of expertise include marketing, retail sales, event planning, team-building, leadership development and public speaking.

Stephanie began her career at the Estée Lauder Companies in New York after graduating from the Gabelli School in 2004. During her tenure, she held various positions in marketing and sales at both Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and Jo Malone London, and her work eventually took her from the eastern United States to the West. She now lives in San Francisco and has been in her current role since May 2012.

Here at the Gabelli School, Stephanie earned a BS in business administration with concentrations in marketing, international business and communication. She later earned an MS in global business leadership from the University of San Diego Graduate School of Business Administration.

Outside of work, Stephanie is an accomplished yogi and a world traveler, having visited 16 countries among the continents of Africa, Asia, Europe and South America. Her most recent adventures include a trek to the roof of Africa atop Mt. Kilimanjaro, a mountain-bike tour through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and a hike along the ancient Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
