Snapshots from Charlie Gulotta’s talk on sales and marketing

The business school’s slate of Access your Future Week events featured an appearance by Charlie Gulotta, a Fordham alumnus and former student athlete who was inducted in 2009 into the Fordham Athletic Hall of Fame for water polo and swimming. He advised all students, no matter what their business focus, to get some experience in sales. Wherever your career might take you, he said, experience in sales will be relevant and useful.

Mr. Gulotta then talked about business in a global economy. He evaluated the level of competition that American students will face upon graduating into a hiring market that, more and more, values international expertise and cultural and linguistic fluency, and he described the fierce competition that exists for jobs, particularly in India.
