Dec. 4: Meet Gilt Groupe execs and tour their offices

Communications/Media Management , Featured Events Marketing | Nov 18, 2013 |

The Gilt Groupe will open its doors to Gabelli School students for the first time with an on-site meeting and tour at its Manhattan office.

Gilt’s approach to high-end discount shopping is well-known to anyone with an interest in fashion — and, these days, in city-based experiences and travel, too. Gilt’s flash sales have helped to reshape electronic commerce, and companies of all kinds have taken note of its approach to customer service.

This is a chance for Gabelli School students to meet Gilt’s staff.

Date: Wednesday, December 4, 2013
Time: 12:15 p.m. departure from the Rose Hill campus; 4:30 p.m. return
Destination: Gilt Groupe offices, 2 Park Avenue, New York City
Register: Click here (registration required; first-come, first-served; wait list available)

Speakers will include:

  • Michelle Peluso, CEO
  • Elizabeth Frances, Chief Marketing Officer
  • Dominique Essig, Vice President of Project Management

This event is ideal for students with an interest in digital marketing and e-commerce.

Attendance is very limited for this event. Students will be transported from the Rose Hill campus to the Gilt Groupe headquarters on a complimentary Ram Van, departing at 12:15 p.m. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and when the van is full, the event will close to registration. Please eat lunch before coming to the van, or bring lunch to eat on the drive down.

IMPORTANT: Only register for this event if you are 100 percent certain you can come. If you register and don’t show, you have taken a spot away from a fellow student. Class deans will be notified if students RSVP and then no-show.

The Ram Van will bring students back to campus after the event, ideally arriving at Rose Hill between 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., but the exact time may depend on traffic.

If you have any questions about this event, contact Colleen Sullivan (GSB ’09), the Gabelli School’s event planner, at ccosullivan@fordham.edu.
