One of the writers of a student-produced guide for Fordham University students holding internships at KPMG U.K. during a semester at the university’s London campus has a new gig explaining visa procedures for a larger audience.
Claire DiCiuccio, BS ’17, is the featured speaker in a video produced by the United Kingdom’s consulate, detailing the country’s student visa requirements.
DiCiuccio, Andrew Freire and Ryan Marquis, all BS ’17, wrote their guidebook in 2015, discussing the visa application process and giving tips on travel and getting accustomed to London.
DiCiuccio’s appearance in the video was the result of correspondence Tara Naughton, the assistant director of career advising at the Gabelli School of Business, had with a representative of the U.K. consulate. When Naughton mentioned the guidebook, the representative asked if any of the students would like to participate in the consulate’s social media campaign to explain the visa requirements.
In the video, DiCiuccio discusses the paperwork needed to procure the visa and points out various pitfalls that could delay the process.
