When finals season hits, study space on campus is at a premium. Below is a list of places for studying near Rose Hill so you can get off campus and hit the books.

1. New York Botanical Garden
2900 Southern Blvd.

To escape the indoors, walk across the street to this lush oasis. Find yourself a spot on a bench and get comfortable. If you like the library but need a change of scenery, the LuEsther T. Mertz Library offers another quiet study location. Grounds-only admission is free to Fordham students.

2. Prince Coffee House
2306 Arthur Ave.

This spot has been open for about a year, featuring international décor and an inviting atmosphere. Complement your studies with a dessert such as tiramisu and get your caffeine in with classic macchiato or cappuccino, or maybe a very strong Turkish coffee.

3. DeLillo Pasticceria
610 East 187 St.

What goes better with studying than gelati and desserts? This Little Italy location has deep family roots and offers both outdoor and indoor seating options.

4. Starbucks
440 E. Fordham Rd.

If you’re in the mood for your favorite Venti Vanilla Latte or Grande Unicorn Frappuccino, then just walk out the gates and across the street. Sit down, grab a snack, and enjoy the free wifi.

5. Pizza Studio
444 E. Fordham Rd.

Feeling creative and hungry? This nearby place can satisfy both cravings. After building your perfect pie, enjoy your creation while fueling up for your next exam.
