The LEADing to Africa internship program is a chance to get great on-the-job experience with a leading technology company in a paid internship while you’re still working toward your degree. At the same time, you can improve your chances of being considered for future employment, because interns who successfully complete these paid internships have a good chance of being considered for job opportunities in countries such as Angola, Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria and South Africa.  

The LEADing to Africa internship program provides eligible undergraduate and graduate students studying in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, United Kingdom and the United States with valuable work experience at IBM. Students who successfully complete the program:

• Learn about IBM’s organization, work style, culture and global reach,
• Develop real-world skills in the fields of big data and analytics, cloud, business economics, math, engineering and computer science, and
• Gain access to channels to stay connected to IBM and its business in Africa during the internship assignment, and after.
