Ready to help new international students? SAC needs you!

Hey, graduate students:

Is New York your city?

If so, perhaps we can count on you to show our new international students around.

Each student arriving from outside the United States this fall could benefit from someone who knows New York—and who knows Fordham.

You could be one of those people.

The Student Advisory Council and the Office of Graduate Academic Advising are looking for gregarious, hospitable MBA and MS students to participate in the Global Peer Advisor Program. Peer advisors get to know their new classmates while adding to their understanding of the University and New York.

Apply by June 30!

If you’re a peer advisor, what will you do?

  • You will be a primary point of contact for new students when they first come to campus.
  • You will help them to feel welcome and be their go-to resource during orientation week.
  • You also can answer any questions they have about living in New York City or succeeding at Fordham.

To join in, fill out an application here. For more information, contact Lonnie Kussin, assistant dean for graduate advising, at lkussin@fordham.edu or Zeyang (Jenny) Gong, vice president of international students for SAC, at zgong4@fordham.edu.

Remember: The application deadline is June 30. Thank you for being there for our international students!
