Interesting facts

  • There are identical twins now in both the freshman and sophomore classes at Lincoln Center (all four are women).
  • There are two students from Almaty, Kazakhstan. They knew each other in grade school but did not know the other was applying to Fordham or specifically to the Gabelli School of Business in Lincoln Center.
  • One student discovered the value of service while visiting his grandfather in Turkey. He felt drawn to help children who were selling items in the streets to make some money for their families.
  • One student from Staten Island has begun volunteering to help Albanian immigrants in her neighborhood. This became a passion because she knows her own family’s story. They came from Bulgaria where they were a minority (among the people in Thrace who spoke Pomak, a Rup language). They became exiles first in Greece and then in Turkey.
