Profiles | Sep 10, 2010 |

Congratulations to Gabelli School of Business seniors Chen Lina and Yujing (Eugena) Feng, who were part of a multi-university team of students who won a national case-study competition that drew students from 16 educational institutions nationwide. Each team had to analyze technical accounting issues and to address managerial, corporate, operating, and sustainability concerns in developing an implementation strategy for a new retail store concept in China. The teams made 20-minute presentations of their analysis and recommendations to a panel of judges.

The Fordham students’ group included teammates from Drexel University, Queens College, and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. The competition was co-sponsored by KPMG, an audit, tax and advisory firm, and Ascend, an organization for accounting and finance professionals of Asian and Pacific Islander descent. Each winning student received a $500 prize.
