Gabelli students invited to apply for a Fordham alumni mentor
Alumni Stories | Aug 21, 2012 | Nicole Gesualdo
Sophomores, juniors and seniors who have demonstrated records of achievement are invited to apply for the Fordham University Alumni Mentoring Program, which is run through the alumni office. This selective program pairs students with young alumni for career guidance and networking.
Applications are due on September 14 and are accepted via this web page.
The alumni office tries to match high-achieving students with young alumni based on similar career interests. Mentors can be useful in many ways, from helping students to decide on a specific career goal to making connections for them within the business world. It can be very beneficial to have guidance from someone who went down your intended path not so long ago.
Mentors and mentees meet informally throughout the program based on shared goals and expectations. In addition, students must commit to attending at least two program-wide events during the school year. Students selected to participate must attend a prerequisite mentee training.
