Gabelli School of Business students and Tiffany & Co. executives gathered for a breakfast at the company’s Manhattan world headquarters that is fast becoming an annual Fordham tradition. The breakfast is graciously organized by Fordham alumnus and Tiffany CFO Jim Fernandez, who coordinated a great presentation on the company’s past and future. The 50 students learned what it takes to work at Tiffany and heard about its forays into e-media.

Mr. Fernandez joined Tiffany & Co. in October 1983 and held various positions in financial planning and management. He was appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer in 1998. He is responsible for accounting, treasury, investor relations, information technology, financial planning, financial services, business development, diamond operations, and real estate operations. He also has overall responsibility for distribution, manufacturing, customer service, and security.
