Come to the Super Bowl of the sophomore core!
Coursework , Featured Events Stories | Jan 17, 2012 | Nicole Gesualdo
Next week, 29 sophomores in the Gabelli integrated business Core R will go head to head in their own “Super Bowl” of sorts — with a $1,000 grand prize at stake. Watch them compete! Tuesday, January 24, at 7 p.m. in Keating 3rd. It could be the business competition of the winter season.
Come out, cheer for your favorite [company] team, and see who goes home with the reward!
What’s happening?
Sophomores spent the last semester working in small teams to identify a business challenge facing a real company and propose how the company should address it. The six best teams will now square off in a business presentation competition to determine which team deserves a $1,000 prize for its work.
How long are the presentations?
10 minutes each. Teams have to make their points well, and make them fast.
Who decides who wins?
Professional judges from outside Fordham will make the calls. They are:
- Paul Reilly, BBDO
- Mario Torsiello, Torsiello Securities Inc.
- Eileen Walsh, KPMG
- Debra Meyer Manzo, Coach
What companies do the teams represent?
