Q. Tell us what you do at the Gabelli School of Business.

A. I am the marketing area program manager. I assist the area chair by providing administrative services and duties that facilitate the communications and promotion efforts by creating fliers, posters, signage and reports whenever needed. I create Eventbrite student events and various office duties that are relevant to the marketing area and its 19 faculty members. Since I began in September 2014, I have worked with Dr. Sertan Kabadayi on his idea of producing a marketing area e-newsletter. Together, we created and designed quarterly newsletters that are emailed to more than 1,700 faculty and deans in the United States and around the world. I’m proud to be a member of a nice group of administrators at a great educational institution like Fordham.

Q. How long have you been at Fordham? What did you do before you came to the university?

A. I have been at Fordham for a year and a half, and I am enjoying my diverse duties. Before I started at Fordham, I was office manager to 10 employees at a landlord office in New Jersey, as well as a property manager to 500 residents. Most of my day was handling customer-service questions, resident problems, concerns, and lease breaks. My goal was to resolve issues and make sure we had happy residents who were well taken care of by the landlord. The Lightning Round

Q. What is it about working with students that appeals to you?

A. I love to see students in the hallway. I look at them and say how lucky they are to be here, getting an education. Education is like building a foundation. It is the basis of a good career and future achievements.

Q. What do you like to do when you’re outside of work? What is your family like?

A. I like to go hiking and attend car shows with my husband, who is a Lamborghini technician. I enjoy cooking and gardening around the house and spending time with my family, and once a year, I try to travel to different countries. I have two children. My daughter is working at Maserati as an assistant service adviser. My son worked in New York City as a marketing analyst and currently is a marketing consultant. Both are doing well and happy in their careers. I live with my wonderful husband in Paramus, New Jersey, the shopping capital of the East Coast!
