Yet another one of Fordham’s graduates has made it big, this time landing a job at one of the largest IT companies in the world: IBM.
Pawan Rajaaram, MSMI ’16, now holds a Gabelli School Master of Science in Marketing Intelligence degree, focused on data analytics, creating customer insights, and solving business problems. These are all tools that he can apply in his work as a data scientist in IBM’s market development and insights team.
With a near-perfect GPA of 3.98, Rajaaram was sought-after by top companies for obvious reasons.
“[He] is a very serious, responsible and hardworking student,” said Sertan Kabadayi, associate professor and area chair of marketing at the Gabelli School. “He has a very good understanding of various analytical and quantitative methods and a skill of combining those methods to make strategic decisions.”
Rajaaram is also the CEO and founder of his own consulting group, Lakshya Social Entrepreneurship. Lakshya arranges funding for educational programs that serve the underprivileged in India, helping the organizations that run these programs and ensuring that they are able to keep operating. The organization is working with charities to analyze existing programs and advertise its vision to aid the impoverished throughout the globe.
The Gabelli School of Business wishes the best of luck to Rajaaram in both his current and future endeavors.
