International Business Week expands to both campuses
Global | Jan 20, 2015 | Gabelli School of Business
International Business Week, sponsored by the Gabelli School of Business, has always been global, but now it’s being expanded right here at home.
Previously exclusive to Rose Hill, IBW 2015 will include both Rose Hill and Lincoln Center, undergraduates and graduate students alike.
IBW runs from Feb. 9 to Feb. 12, 2015. Speakers include:
- Fran Horowitz (MBA ’90), President of the Hollister brand, Monday, February 9, 6:00-7:30, Lincoln Center
- Donna Rodriguez (BS ’97), Director of International Tax and Tax Accounting, Phillips Van Heusen, Wednesday, February 11, 1:00-2:15, Lincoln Center
- Michael Guarnieri (GSB ’87), Global Head of Fixed Income Research, Nomura Securities, Wednesday, February 11, 6:00-7:30, Lincoln Center

“IBW really is about bringing to the foreground what is in the background of business, which is the fact that business is global,” said Michael Polito, assistant dean for global academic affairs, who runs the event.
International Business Week is a perfect reflection of the cross-school synergies made possible by the 2014 unification of Fordham’s two business schools. The international character of commerce is relevant to all students, regardless of their level or program.
“To hone one’s business and professional skills,” Polito said, “one has to think not just locally, but globally.”
