Join us for the Gabelli School’s first Octoberfest — a chance to hear directly from Dean Rapaccioli and to get acquainted with River Horse Brewing Company, employer of Gabelli School alumnus and Lead Brewer Chris McGrath (GSB ’07).
Date: Tuesday, October 16, 2012
Time: 5:15 p.m.
Location: McGinley Ballroom
Attend: Students must register here
Welcome the fall season with a discussion of the present and future of the Gabelli School of Business, while enjoying apple cider, cider donuts and, for students of age, Octoberfest beers from River Horse Brewing Company.
- Starting at 5:15, Dean Rapaccioli will give you a Gabelli School update, take your questions and listen to any concerns you might have.
- Then, 2007 alumnus Chris McGrath, lead brewer at River Horse, will tell the story of how he went from an unhappy finance job to a blissful career in brewing — and he’ll offer a tasting of River Horse’s fall beers to students 21 years of age and older.
- The event will wrap up around 7 p.m.
ALL GABELLI STUDENTS ARE INVITED, AND MUST CLICK HERE TO REGISTER!
The annual Town Hall is a great chance to find out what’s going on at the Gabelli School, make sure that your voice and opinion are heard, and hang out with other business students of all class years in our new home, Hughes Hall.
Please note that seniors who want to participate in the beer tasting must bring a current Gabelli School Fordham ID as well as valid proof of 21 years of age (driver’s license or passport). Students will be carded at the door and issued a bracelet that will allow them to participate in the tasting portion of the event.
Students younger than 21 are more than welcome to stay for the River Horse segment of the presentation without the tasting portion. (Your senior year will come!)
We hope to see you there — and please help us spread the word!
