You only have to pay attention at the enormous cranes, scaffolding and rising steel lattices all over this city to see that construction is a massive business in New York.

Here’s an opportunity to have dinner with an executive in this $30-billion-a-year industry.

This Supper Club is happening right after break — so you must apply as soon as possible if you want to join the group!

Steven Colletta (GSB ’01) is a loyal Fordham alumnus and vice president of Sciame Construction, one of the biggest construction firms in New York City. You see the Sciame name on building sites all over the place — especially ones linked with big-name architects.

Since joining Sciame Construction in 1997, Mr. Colletta has completed many prominent projects in the tri-state area, including New York’s first LEED-platinum-certified laboratory building for the Cooper Union, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Thom Mayne’s firm Morphosis. Mr. Colletta has turned his keen eye for client satisfaction toward many Fortune 100 firms, including General Electric. He is now overseeing projects that include a 400,000-square-foot office building designed by Fumihiko Maki for Edward J. Minskoff Equities, and a new 100,000-square-foot medical-simulation lab building for Columbia University Medical Center, designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro / Gensler.

Sciame Construction has a 34-year history and a dedication to completing buildings and interior spaces of all types — on time, within budget and for demanding clients. The firm was involved with the expansion and restoration of The Morgan Library; the restoration of Central Synagogue on Lexington Avenue in midtown, the oldest synagogue in Manhattan; the Museum of Arts & Design; the New Museum of Contemporary Art; and the restoration of the Guggenheim Museum.

Mr. Colletta is a member of the Fordham University President’s Council and of the Gabelli School of Business Advisory Board. He has given speeches at Columbia University, The Cooper Union and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, among other institutions.
