Workshop 2/19: Are you looking for the RIGHT job?

Featured Events Personal & Professional Development | Feb 11, 2013 |

Lots of students jump straight into looking for a job, but later discover that they might have ended up happier if they’d thought more first:

… about what they should be looking for.

On Tuesday, February 19, at 1:00 p.m., a new workshop will help you seek the career path that will be the most rewarding and “right” for you.

What do we mean by that?

Well, compare these reasons for looking for a specific job:

  • “That’s what people tell me to do.”
  • “That’s where the money is.”

with these reasons:

  • “That’s what I like to do.”
  • “That’s what I am good at.”
  • “That’s where I want to go in life.”

Which one describes you? This workshop, led by Rob Hellmann of the Gabelli School’s in-house Personal and Professional Development Center, will set you up with resources, assessment exercises and other tools to increase the odds that your career path leads to happiness and satisfaction.

Date: Tuesday, February 19, 2013
Time: 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
