Sept. 5: IBM merges nightclubs and networking (and you’re invited)
Featured Events | Aug 27, 2013 | Nicole Gesualdo
IBM is calling it College Night Out.
10:00 p.m. next Thursday, September 5.
At the nightclub SOBs, on Varick Street in downtown Manhattan.
What is it? A chance to network with tech-company staff. An opportunity to meet other students from around the New York area. (Want some friends to visit at NYU and Columbia? Make them here.) And EDM from IBM, courtesy of a few DJs.
In addition to dance music and networking, attendees will get:
- Snacks from Whole Foods and Magnolia Bakery (sounds like cupcakes to us!)
- A chance to challenge IBM supercomputer Watson (remember, from Jeopardy?)
- Information on how to participate in IBM’s Students for a Smarter Planet initiative
Claim your free ticket — or get on the waiting list — through IBM’s Eventbrite page. Students who attend must be at least 18 years old and enrolled at a New York area college.
