If you can encourage other people to give back, this contest is for you.
A branch of Brandeis University is offering student organizations around the country to compete for $10,000 toward their own charitable pursuits.
This could be a chance to win funding for one of your causes, recognition for your student organization’s work, and national attention for Fordham.
The contest is called “Generous U,” and to enter, all your club needs is a 2.5-page essay and a YouTube video.
The deadline is not until March 3, 2014, so you have time.
Only fully recognized student organizations are eligible, so if you’re in a Gabelli School’s club, think about whether your group could have a winning perspective. This page will give you a sense of what the awards committee is looking for, so you can determine if this contest is a good fit.
If you decide to enter your student group, best of luck!
