Meet recruiters, have fun at Feb. 1 networking carnival

Students and recruiters mingle at the 2015 Networking Carnival.

How good are you at the ring toss?

Bring your carnival-game skills, your networking abilities and your desire to have some fun to the Gabelli School of Business Annual Networking Carnival on Feb. 1.

But whatever you do, don’t bring your résumé.

The Big Four accounting firms – Deloitte, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, EY and KPMG – and at least eight other companies will be at the event, which allows students to meet with recruiters in an informal space and talk about career paths over carnival games and snacks.

Sponsored in part by Beta Alpha Psi and open to all Gabelli School students, the carnival runs from noon to 2:30 p.m. in the McGinley Ballroom. Students may stop by anytime within that window, and stay for as long or as brief a time as they like. Current and future accounting, finance, and information systems students especially are encouraged to attend.

There will be a raffle for prizes.

Giving out résumés during the event is prohibited, to keep the atmosphere light and fun, but students may follow up later with contacts made at the carnival.
