Digital Business Society starts up Sept. 18

Digital Business Society Featured Events | Sep 12, 2013 |

Last spring, the Digital Business Society emerged onto the scene at Fordham.

Its mission? To give all Gabelli School students — regardless of major — a bit of a tech edge that could be the difference between getting or not getting a job.

Check out its first meeting:

Date: Wednesday, September 18, 2013
Time: 5:30 p.m.
Location: JMH 108
Speaker: Paul Cooney (FCRH ’12), YouTube partnership manager at AOL

Here is some additional information from Ross Garlick (GSB ’15), one of the club’s officers:

“We have a goal of raising the level of technical proficiency among Fordham students, as well as fostering an entrepreneurial community by bringing together computer coders, entrepreneurs, graphic designers, accountants and more. Technology is playing a bigger role in every industry today, and whatever your major, technical proficiency will help you stand out from the competition in the job market.”

“The meeting will also discuss some of the workshops we are planning on running over the duration of the semester in our Skills Academy, including a startup intellectual property workshop and a business pitch competition.”
If you’re free next Wednesday evening, see what the Digital Business Society can do for your future.
