Members of the Fordham Foundry, the university’s startup incubator, and other fledgling student entrepreneurs are getting a chance to win mentoring from staff at a premier international bank to help guide them through the process of creating and growing their businesses.
BNP Paribas, creator and sponsor of the New Venture Competition, is planning to select six contestants to compete in the following four categories:
- Most innovative business idea
- Greatest impact venture
- Best business value proposition
- Audience pick through a trading game
The six finalists will be chosen on March 2 and notified by email. The final pitch before BNP Paribas staff will be held on March 9.
The winners will be paired with mentors from bank and will get tickets to the BNP Paribas Showdown tennis matches, featuring Roger Federer, Grigor Dimitrov, Monica Seles and Gabriela Sabatini, on March 10 at Madison Square Garden.
Those wishing to compete should submit a description (no more than 10 lines) of their business idea to CSR_North_America@BNPParibas.com by Feb. 27.
