Every year, Gabelli School of Business sophomores take part in the Consulting Cup, a semester-long integrated project course that requires teams of students to investigate a real company, identify a problem that the company is facing, come up with an innovative solution, and present the proposal to a panel of industry judges and professors.
The process was designed to mirror what business consultants do in real life, and it challenges students to draw on their knowledge of marketing, accounting, IT, management, and other disciplines they have learned from the core curriculum.
This semester (Rose Hill – 98 teams – 6 participates in the event) (Lincoln Center – 29 teams – 3 participates in the event), and while there could only be one winning team from each campus, every team has gained the valuable experience of working in teams and practicing real-world business skills that can help them to stand out when applying for internships.
For those unable to attend the event in Rose Hill in person and would like to watch remotely, the event will be live-streamed through this link.
