The Responsible Business Center is very excited to announce its inaugural clothing exchange as part of its mission to help today’s graduate business students engage in sustainable practices and take part in circular fashion. A clothing exchange is a gathering of people who swap clothing that they no longer wear for something from someone else’s wardrobe.
80% of unwanted clothing ends up in landfills and is not part of textile recycling. By exchanging clothes rather than throwing them out, you’ll play a key part in fostering a circular economy (and a very stylish Ram community), which allows us to extend the lifetime of clothing that already exists in addition to keeping clothes out of landfills.
The exchange will be held from December 5 (Tuesday) to December 7 (Thursday), from 4-7pm in Room 140 in 140 West 62nd Street. Bring your gently used clothing to the Student Success Center from now until November 30, 2023. In return for the clothing donation, you will receive a voucher that will allow you to come shop in our exchange room. Collection bins will be available for donations in Suite 126 of 140 West 62nd Street beginning November 1, 2023.
Most clothing clean and in good repair will be accepted (clothing hangers too!)
