April 11: Sports business symposium comes to Rose Hill

Talk about three of-the-moment issues with sports industry professionals on Thursday, April 11, as Rose Hill plays host to the first Business of Sports Today Symposium.

You’ll hear from the experts and discuss:

5:30 p.m.: Social media in sports
Panel discussion moderated by Professor Mark Conrad, director of the Gabelli School’s sports business specialization.

6:30 p.m.: Sports technology and analytics
Speakers: Vince Gennaro, president of the Society for American Baseball Research, and Cory Schwartz, vice president of statistics for MLB Advanced Media.

7:30 p.m.: 2013 MLB All-Star Game at Citi Field
This discussion will cover the planning, organization and impact of the MLB’s All-Star Game coming right here to New York City.
