Meet a corporate banking CEO: Last Supper Club of the semester!

The Supper Club is a way for you to truly connect with alumni. It’s just you, a handful of classmates, and one Fordham alumnus or alumna … over a free dinner.

The last one for this school year will be with Terence Begley (GSB ’86), chief executive officer of corporate banking at PNC. Here are the details:

Apply: Fill out the application form to be considered for this dinner! A small group of students will be selected based on their responses to the questionnaire, and they will be notified by e-mail. You must apply by 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 11.

 

Here is Mr. Begley’s official company bio:

Terence Begley is chief executive officer for PNC’s corporate banking business. He is responsible for relationship banking for corporate clients as well as investment banking for capital markets businesses, including asset-backed securities and municipal finance.

Mr. Begley is a member of PNC’s Corporate & Institutional Banking executive management team and a co-chair of PNC Financial’s executive management committee. Mr. Begley joined PNC in 2003 as a senior managing director responsible for leading the asset-backed securities group. In 2006, he became president of PNC Equipment Finance, LLC, and PNC Aviation Finance, LLC, where he oversaw all of PNC’s equipment loan and leasing capabilities for traditional equipment, as well as corporate aircraft finance, for a national customer base. In 2006, Mr. Begley also assumed management responsibility for PNC Structured Trade Finance, which provides financing solutions for PNC’s international client set.

Prior to joining PNC, Mr. Begley spent five years as managing director and head of the asset-backed investment management and conduits group within the fixed income division of Wachovia Securities. In addition, he spent 13 years within the global credit group at J.P. Morgan & Company in New York.

Mr. Begley’s experience includes significant expertise in the asset-backed securities market, as well as providing structured and unsecured financing for corporate clients in a wide variety of asset classes, including equipment finance, trade receivables, consumer, commercial, CDO, and other emerging products. He has also served as an advisor to financial institutions on credit and capital structure issues, including extensive work in emerging markets.

Mr. Begley holds a bachelor of science degree in finance and economics from Fordham University, along with Series 7, 63, and 24 securities licenses.
