This Thursday: Hong Kong financier presents on China

The Finance Society invites all Gabelli School students to join in this Thursday evening as Benoit Descourtieux, founder and president of the Hong Kong-based OP Investment Management, shares his cash-flow-based methodology for investing across Asian markets, with an emphasis on China.

Mr. Descourtieux, who has 25 years of investment experience in the Asian markets, has published his financial perspectives in English, French and Chinese for media and organizations in the United States, Europe and Asia. He holds a CFA designation and earned his degree from Sciences Po in Paris.

Beginning his career in 1986, Mr. Descourtieux worked in a wide range of capacities within the Crédit Agricole group, rising to become a senior investment manager and then associate director for Crédit Agricole Asset Management in Hong Kong. He subsequently became president and CEO of Lombard Odier Asia Ltd. until leaving to establish OP Investment Management. His firm has been nominated for awards by both AsiaHedge and Eurekahedge.
