Here is a little more information about this week’s speaker:

Professor Prem Jain received his Ph.D. in 1984 from the University of Florida, started his academic career at the Wharton School and moved to Tulane University in 1991. He began work at Georgetown University in 2000. In addition to his Warren Buffett book, released in 2010, Professor Jain has published numerous articles, mostly related to research in the stock market, in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Accounting Review, Journal of Business and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. His work has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Newsweek and several other newspapers. Professor Jain spent one summer a visiting scholar at INSEAD, France, and at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Washington, D.C. He also has taught at ITESM in Mexico and CEIBS in China.
