Entrepreneurship Conference lineup finalized for Nov. 13

10:00 a.m. — Opening Keynote

11:00 a.m. — “The Power of Purpose”
Mark Monchek, founder, The Opportunity Lab
How can following your personal strengths and the causes you care about lead to a successful and satisfying career? Think outside the typical business paths with the help of this presentation.

12:00 noon — Entrepreneurship in the Creative Markets
Panel Discussion
Featuring Anna Lee, founder and chairmanOpera Singers Initiative, and Jennifer Edwards, founder, JenEd Productions; founding partner, Edwards + Skybetter LLC; blogger, The Huffington Post

1:00 p.m. — Lunch and Learn: Women Powerhouses and Pioneers

2:00 p.m. — “Jumpstart Your Fulfilling Career”

Dedicated from his freshman year to entrepreneurship at Fordham, Sam, now a senior, will share what he’s learned about jumping from college into the kind of work you want.

3:00 p.m. — Alumni and Apps
Panel Discussion
Recent alumni talk about their experiences launching mobile apps and being a young entrepreneur in today’s economy. Featuring Joseph Sorrentino (GSB ’13), co-founder and CFOConnectNow, and Christopher Chin Fong (GSB ’12), founding team member, Adam & Luna.

4:00 p.m. — “Pave Your Own Path”
Justin Mitchell, co-founder, Pave
Get insight into funding a new venture from this co-founder and chief technology officer of Pave, whose firm is led by former employees of Facebook, Visa, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey and more.

5:00 p.m. — Networking Reception
Mingle with speakers and fellow entrepreneurs. Snacks provided.

 

These are the raffle ticket entry rules: Each time you attend an event, you will get one raffle ticket. At the 5:00 p.m. networking reception, raffle tickets will be drawn to determine the winners of the three prizes: an iPhone 5c, a $250 JetBlue gift card, and a one-on-one meeting with Daymond John of “Shark Tank.” Any attendees can win the phone or gift card, and need not be present at the 5:00 p.m. drawing to win. Only Fordham undergraduate students are eligible for the Daymond John prize, and must be at the drawing to win.
