When you think of the Bronx, do you think “high-tech”?
If not — this is your change to change that.
Where some see underdevelopment and feel discouraged, the leaders of Fordham’s Center for Digital Transformation perceive opportunity. Join CDT director and Fordham professor RP Raghupathi for a summit on the vast possibility for a high-tech Bronx, and how businesses and government can capitalize on it.
Date: Wednesday, October 16, 2013
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Daleo Hall (lower level of Hughes Hall)

The Center for Digital Transformation held a similar conference last fall to bring together people who want to see technology-driven change and innovation in the Bronx.
Where in the Bronx is there gold that can be mined?
Colleges and universities. Hospitals and medical schools. Scientific organizations such as the Botanical Garden and Bronx Zoo. Municipal and government agencies.
All of these things make the borough an ideal venue for entrepreneurial and business support activities, in the CDT’s thinking.
Faculty, students, working professionals from the for-profit and nonprofit worlds, and government officials will participate in this year’s summit. According to Professor Raghupathi, this is “an essential event to those interested in the transformation of the Bronx into a viable borough of sustainable, technology-driven business activities and economic growth.”
