Pay attention.

The prize at the end of this competition is a Credit Suisse internship.

Gabelli School students have until April 13 to sign up for the HOLT Valuation Challenge, a contest run by Credit Suisse that will test your financial knowledge and potentially land you one of 10 internships with the Swiss bank and its affiliates.

The HOLT challenge is only a year old, and it’s a spectacular way to get noticed.

Credit Suisse designed this contest as an extension of its recruiting strategy — a new way to identify top talent. Undergraduate and graduate students around the world are invited to participate. The challenge itself starts on April 15, but you must register by April 13 via the Project Firefly site.

This challenge is run in both the fall and the spring. Last semester, 719 students participated, representing 181 universities in 47 countries, including Latvia, Guatemala, Bulgaria, Ghana, Nepal and Nigeria.

“This allows us to look for the diamond in the rough — students who might have been smart enough to go to one of our target schools, but for whatever reason, be it geography or finances, are not there,” said Jim Ostry, managing director, HOLT strategy, branding and product development. “I don’t care what school you went to. I want to know if you’re hardworking, smart and curious.”

So, Gabelli School students, even though you already go to an awesome school, get out there and show Credit Suisse what you’ve got. Click here to learn what the challenge entails and register.
