Success story: Gabelli senior wins accounting scholarship

The entire Gabelli administration congratulates Sarah Mattison, Class of 2012, for winning this year’s Excellence in Accounting Scholarship from the Foundation for Accounting Education. Applicants represented 33 colleges and universities from all parts of New York State, and winners were selected based on criteria that included outstanding academic achievement and a letter of recommendation. Sarah’s scholarship is a great honor and will offset part of her tuition for both the fall and spring semesters.

The foundation that offers these financial awards is part of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, an organization that has student memberships. Gabelli students may join for $20 per year and are encouraged to apply for scholarships such as this one.
