Upcoming Boardroom: Eileen Walsh, partner at KPMG

Eileen Walsh (GSB ’76), a partner at KPMG who has more than 30 years of experience at the firm, will hold a Boardroom Series session next week. Here are the details:

Students interested in accounting careers should consider attending this Boardroom Series meeting with Ms. Walsh, the partner in charge of KPMG’s Business School – Audit function. She is responsible for the audit technical curriculum and oversees a team that designs, develops and delivers training to more than 8,000 audit professionals.

Prior to this assignment, Ms. Walsh was an insurance audit lead partner in the New York office, serving a diversified insurance client base. She has extensive experience both locally and globally with the insurance market, having served a wide variety of SEC multi-national registrants. Her years of experience and her reputation for delivering quality audits is a skill set that is pivotal in her present position.

Ms. Walsh graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree from Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business, where she now serves as a member of the alumni advisory board. She is a member of the AICPA, NYSSCPA and NJSCPA. In 2008, she was appointed to the International Accounting Education Standards Board, which operates under the auspices of the International Federation of Accountants.
