More than 300 alumni of the Gabelli School master’s programs — now working at companies from Moody’s to the Discovery Channel to Major League Soccer — returned to the Lincoln Center campus last week for a reunion.
This was the second year for this event, which was open to graduates of the three MBA programs and all Master of Science programs. Dean Donna Rapaccioli was delighted by the strong turnout and took a few moments to update the group on the Gabelli School’s new 140 West 62 Street building, whose renovations will be complete by late summer. Fr. Joseph McShane, the president of Fordham, also addressed the alumni and, with good humor, encouraged them to consider naming the building for the “relatively small contribution” of $15 million.
Many attendees took advantage of a special photo booth, getting a professional LinkedIn headshot taken before finishing off the evening with cocktails and dancing on the Lowenstein plaza.
Following such a successful reunion, the Gabelli School’s development team shared that annual-giving participation among Gabelli School alumni is up 55 percent, and total giving is up 11 percent to date.
