Gabelli School alumni take their skills outside the office

From serving in combat in the Army to serving up pizza in the city, Gabelli School alumni continue to reach their goals and inspire others.
Last year, Esther Kim, BS ’16, became one of the first female Army officers in the country chosen for close-combat roles that had previously been reserved for men. She describes her journey in Fordham Magazine and says of her work ethic, “I feel like there’s always something you can do better.” Read the full story.
Emmett Burke, BS ’05, started his career in finance but later learned his true passion was pizza. He now owns a restaurant in New York City that offers Chicago-style pies.
