Top 5 places to warm up near Lincoln Center
Undergraduate | Mar 13, 2017 | Jacquelyn Hart
Spring may be coming, but the weather says differently.
Ready to escape the freezing temperatures? Here are some places to go and things to do to warm up around the Lincoln Center campus.
1. Hot Chocolate – Grom (58th and Broadway)
Using quality ingredients in three different flavors, Grom serves a serious cup of hot chocolate. If you get too warm, cool off with a serving of gelato, especially the stracciatella (milk and chocolate chips) flavor.
2. Food – Vive la crêpe! (68th and Columbus)
The cold weather is nothing a warm crêpe cannot fix. In the mood for something savory? Try the ham and gruyere. Want something to satisfy your sweet tooth? Savor the classic Nutella topped with banana.
3. Exercise – Lululemon (64th and Broadway)
Lululemon’s Lincoln Square location offers several complimentary classes. Try out “Sweaty Saturdays” or the Monday evening “Run Club.”
4. Entertainment – Lincoln Center
The range of arts performances available at Lincoln Center can make it hard to choose where to start. Free performances are offered at the David Rubenstein Atrium, and several student discounts are available as well.
5. Study – Aroma Espresso Bar (72nd between Columbus and Amsterdam)
Offering WiFi, ample seating, a variety of food and coffee, and a pleasant atmosphere, this location makes a great study spot. The space opens early and closes late, making it a perfect place to bring your books and spend a few hours away from the cold.
