Success story: Jennifer Wang to intern at Citibank this summer

Jennifer Wang (GSB ’15) will soon get an inside view of what it’s like to work at a global bank—the career she looks forward to after she graduates.
In Citibank’s ten-week internship program, Jennifer will work with management teams in the investment banking division, receive technical training and have an opportunity to further develop her communication and presentation skills.
The program is selective—Jennifer was invited to participate after two phone interviews and a “superday” in which she interviewed with three recruiters.
But Jennifer isn’t a stranger to Citibank. In fact, this will be her second summer working there. Last year, she served as a finance intern in the controllers department in corporate banking.
“I enjoyed my experience interning at Citi last summer so much, I knew I wanted the opportunity to work there again,” she said. “However, I knew how selective the financial analyst program is so I made sure to keep my options open.” Nonetheless, Jennifer says she is “extremely grateful to have this exciting opportunity to work with a premier financial institution.”
What does she hope to gain? Knowledge and experience that will apply directly to a future career with a global bank, and more insight about the range of career paths she can consider which she believes will help her plan for advanced education down the road.
For now, congratulations and best of luck this summer, Jennifer!
