International Business Week 2022 Event Lineup

This year’s lineup for International Business Week (IBW) was just announced, with three exciting virtual sessions that focus on different aspects of global business, plus a kickoff event on cultural and business traditions from around the world.

Sessions will include speakers from across industries and from four continents, and the events are open to all.

Cultural and Global Business Traditions Across the World
Monday, March 28
5:30 p.m. ET

This session kicks off this year’s International Business Week and showcases the international diversity within Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business.

The event will highlight various countries’ unique histories, cultures, and global business practices and is a great opportunity to learn more about the economies, geographies, and demographics that may explain why certain countries conduct business the way that they do.

The session will be moderated by Hanaa Fawzy, assistant dean for global initiatives and partnerships at the Gabelli School of Business and Camryn Pecyno, BS ‘21, president of the International Business Association.

International Business Week: Sustainability and Corporate Business Models
Tuesday, March 29
1:00 p.m. ET – 2:00 p.m. ET

This International Business Week event will feature Emanuele Lauro, CEO of Eneti, and Jessica Martin, director of ESG and sustainable finance at KKS Advisors.

They will be joined in conversation by session chair Andrea Mennillo, member of the Gabelli School of Business advisory board, and chair of the Fordham London advisory board.

International Business Week: Business and ESG Strategies: China and South Korea
Tuesday, March 29
6:30 p.m. ET – 7:30 p.m. ET

This International Business Week event will feature Jeongil Seo, PhD, professor of strategy at Sogang Business School (Seoul, South Korea) and Jeffrey Jing, MSGF ’10, senior partner at Gold Endeavor Capital, Ltd.

They will be joined in conversation by Francis Petit, associate dean for global initiatives and partnerships, and program director for the Gabelli School’s Executive MBA Program.

Business, Energy, and Social Mission
Thursday, March 31
7:00 p.m. ET – 8:00 p.m. ET

This International Business Week event will feature Sutapa Pati, PhD, dean of the School of Sustainability at XIM University (Bhubaneswar, India), and Omar Paganini, MBA ’15, minister of industry energy and minery for the government of the Republic of Uruguay.

They will be joined in conversation by Hanaa Fawzy, assistant dean for global initiatives and partnerships.
