Graduate | Nov 21, 2022 |

At the Gabelli School of Business, we believe in lifetime learning and lifetime career development. A large part of the value proposition that we offer to our students and our alumni focuses on preparing them for the professional opportunities ahead. The Gabelli School Career Development Center offers undergraduate and graduate students a plethora of career services to help them prepare for an evolving job market and a changing workplace.

The Center also offers resources for Gabelli School alumni, which have recently expanded under the umbrella of its new Career Services for Life.

“Our new Career Services for Life initiative is tailored to meet the needs of mid-career professionals who want to advance in their careers, change jobs or pivot in their professional journey,” noted Kim Lewis-Collins, director of the Career Development Center. She has worked tirelessly, along with the other members of the CDC team, to create a comprehensive suite of resources for those who are further along in their careers.

Established professionals have access to CareerPath, the career portal that serves as the hub for career-focused resources. To take advantage of all it has to offer requires a one-time creation of an account that affords entry into online portals such as MBA Exchange, which provides students and alumni with access to thousands of relevant, high-quality job and development program listings across a range of industries and regions; and Relish Careers, a free online hiring marketplace for MBA and MS students and alumni, with a network of 400+ top global universities, over 15,000 employers and over 50,000 degree-specific job listings.

Through Career Services for Life, Gabelli MBA and MS alumni also can take advantage of career advising, which is available in one-on-one sessions with an experienced advisor, up to three times a year. This service offers the personalized approach that allows them to explore career options while building the confidence to make well-educated professional choices. Appointments must be scheduled via CareerPath.

Gabelli School Alumni also are invited to attend certain career development workshops throughout the year and they have access to a broad array of online, cutting-edge career services including the VMock SMART résumé platform, which is a 24-7 online, resume-review tool, that leverages data-science, machine learning and natural language processing to provide instant personalized feedback on your résumé based on criteria gathered from employers and global best practices.

We hope that you will take advantage of all that the Gabelli School Career Development Center has to offer as you progress through each phase of your career.
