The Gabelli School’s International Business Week 2025 Will Take Place March 31 – April 4

This year’s schedule for the Gabelli School’s Annual International Business Week (IBW) has just been announced. It will feature three exciting sessions and two site visits that will focus on diverse aspects of global business, and will feature speakers and panelists from across five continents!
For the duration of the week (Monday, March 31 – Friday, April 4), Gabelli students will have the opportunity to learn about international business, economics, politics, and culture. To amplify the international focus of the programming, the lobby of Hughes Hall will be decorated with flags representing countries around the world.

The first International Business Week session will be a site visit and tour of Critical Mass which will be led by Cam Pegg (Fordham Gabelli EMBA 2026), Vice President, Strategy at Critical Mass.
Critical Mass is an International Marketing and Advertising Agency that provides full service digital capabilities to clients around the globe. This International Business Week session will feature Mr. Donald V. Almeida, former PwC Global Vice Chairman and current University Trustee and Gabelli Dean’s Alumni Council Member.
Mr. Almeida will discuss insights and best practices from his international business career which includes work in over seventy (70) countries.
Mr. Almeida will be joined in conversation with Session Chair Francis Petit, Ed.D., Associate Dean for Global Initiatives and Partnerships and Program Director, Executive MBA.

Digital Transformation for Success in the Global Marketplace

This International Business Week session will feature Mr. Christian Ramirez Luna, Executive Director and Principal Consultant for Black Andes Analytics in Uruguay and Professor Florian Haumer, Ph.D., Vice President for Research, Arts & Knowledge Transfer for Macromedia University of Applied Sciences in Germany.
Mr. Ramirez Luna and Professor Haumer will be joined in conversation with Session Chair Professor Robert Chiang, Ph.D., the Marta Mooney Distinguished Research Scholar in Business at Fordham University.
In addition, Professor Hayley Pearson, Ph.D., the Executive Director for Academic Education at the GIBS Business School at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, will also provide the Welcome and Opening Remarks.

Business Ethics, ESG and Firm Performance

This session will feature Professor Arup Roy, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Sustainability, XIM University which is the Jesuit University of Bhubaneswar, India.
Professor Roy will discuss the Business Strategy that supports Business Ethics and ESG for Global Organizations.
Professor Roy will be joined in conversation with Mario J. DiFiore, Ph.D., Senior Assistant Dean and Director of the Student Investment Funds and Finance Applied Learning.

U.N. Headquarters In-House Briefing and Group Visit
Friday, April 4 • 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. EDT
The final session of International Business Week will feature an exclusive briefing and guided tour of the United Nations Headquarters in Midtown Manhattan, the official home of this global governing body since 1951. The iconic complex includes the Secretariat, the Conference Building, and the General Assembly Hall.
The briefing will be moderated by Hanaa Fawzy, Assistant Dean for Global Initiatives, and will feature Mr. Eric A. Olson, Senior Economic Affairs Officer from the U.N. Department of Economic and Social Affairs.
The visit will also be led by Cameryn Lindsay, President of the International Business Association student organization.
