Government, educators and entrepreneurs will be among those discussing how technology can help improve the Bronx during a summit at Fordham University on Oct. 14.
The Fourth Annual Bronx Summit on Technology Innovation and Startups: Opportunities and Challenges, which is sponsored in part by Fordham’s Center for Digital Transformation, seeks ways to capitalize on many of the native assets of the city’s northernmost borough to create more opportunity.
Also sponsoring the event are the Urban Studies Program and Urban Law Center and the Bronx Technology Innovation Coalition.
The event begins at 8 a.m. on Oct. 14 with a breakfast and networking session before kicking off in earnest at 9 a.m., with remarks from Professor RP Raghupathi, who heads the Center for Digital Transformation and the Innovation Lab at Fordham, and Gabelli School of Business Dean Donna Rapaccioli.
Speakers include a number of entrepreneurs in the Bronx, as well as government officials and educators.
